Peri- & Postmenopausal Women’s Health

Menopause is a natural part of aging that affects nearly all women who live to middle age. Menopause can also happen medically at a much younger age.

An estimated 75%-90% of all women experience menopausal symptoms. The most common include hot flashes, sleep disturbances, brain fog, mood changes, and weight gain, but the list is much more extenive.

Experiences of menopause vary widely, with some women having significant, life altering symptoms, to few or no symptoms.

Having a solid nutrition plan can help. I will work with you to address your specific symptoms, including weight gain, bone health, hormonal changes, muscle strength, and symptom management to sort through the nonsense and provide clear, evidence-based support to help you go from surviving to thriving.

There is a powerful connection between cortisol, blood glucose, and insulin levels in supporting our energy levels, stress resilience, and overall health. Cortisol, the body’s primary stress hormone, plays a key role in managing how we respond to stress, but when elevated for long periods, cortisol can spike blood glucose levels. This, in turn, affects insulin, the hormone responsible for helping our cells use glucose for energy. Currently, an more than 1 of every 3 people in the USA is pre-diabetic. Balancing these hormones is essential for steady energy, weight management, and minimizing metabolic-related health issues. Let’s optimize your well-being by understanding and managing cortisol, blood glucose, and insulin levels together.
